Hey, y’all! It’s Stacey from SouthernBite.com! I’m just tickled pink to be visiting with you today! Y’all know how much I love my friends at AllSouth, so when they asked me to come share a favorite recipe with y’all, I just knew it had to be this super-duper easy recipe for Grilled Corn.
The summer months have us outside (when the scorching heat will let us) with our grills – be they gas or charcoal. Regardless of what you’ve got, this Amazingly Easy Grilled Corn is the perfect recipe to add a delicious side to your BBQ spread.
Start with 6 ears of unshucked fresh sweet corn. Fill the sink with cool water and soak the whole ears of corn for 15 to 20 minutes.
Preheat the grill to medium heat and place the corn (still unshucked) right over the heat. Grill for about 6 minutes. Then flip and grill for another 6 minutes.
Remove the corn from the grill and allow it to cool just enough to handle. Then shuck the corn and remove the silks. Cooking the corn first not only adds AMAZING flavor but it makes it incredibly easy to clean too. Now, you can completely remove the shucks, or you can leave them on. I happen to think it looks pretty cool left on and makes a darn handy handle for eating.
At this point the corn is cooked and ready to eat, though I like to return it to the grill over high heat for a few minutes on each side to add a nice charred flavor. If you do decide to leave the shucks attached, make sure you hang those off the edge of the grill when adding that extra char. They’ll be pretty dry at this point and will catch fire if they’re right over the heat. Drizzle with some melted butter and sprinkle with some salt and you’ve got the perfect side to go along with most any meal! Y’all enjoy!
