Bust out your rubber gloves…it’s time to start that Spring cleaning! Not sure where to begin? Use this guide as a starting point to get your house in tip top shape!
Out With The Old
Get rid of clutter so you can get to really cleaning! Toss or donate items you haven’t used in within the last 6 months (or year, if you can’t bear that).
Baseboards & Crown Molding
These areas often get overlooked. It’s time to dust them well and remove any scuff marks with a mild dish soap and water!
Windows
Wash those windows! We mean the inside and the outside.
Washers
We need to actually clean those machines that do so much cleaning for us: the washing machine and the dishwasher. First, run a hot cycle with vinegar (dishwasher: 1 cup on the top rack; washing machine: 2 cups in the detergent tray). Then, run a second hot cycle with a cup of baking soda sprinkled throughout. Voila! Now your machines are clean to do their thing: WASH!
Bedding
Yes, we all wash our sheets and duvet covers on a regular basis, but what about the down duvet insert and pillows themselves? Time to toss those in the wash too.
Happy cleaning!
