Statement walls are a thing of the past. Say hello to the statement ceiling, the much cooler cousin to that accent wall you painted 10 years ago. The ceiling has been forgotten far too long, usually painted in a flat white and never thought of again. It’s time to bring some interest back up there. You could say your new year will be looking up.

Yes, subway tile and hardwoods will always be classics. But, for those yearning for something a bit more unique, patterned back splashes and floors are it. They add a dose of interest in an unexpected way.
