Our First Designer Summit

AllSouth recently hosted its very first Designer Summit in our Birmingham showroom and we really wanted to share it with you! For the Designer Summit, we invited top designers from all of the areas we serve in Alabama and Tennessee to come to Birmingham and learn about Jenn-Air appliances and Cambria Quartz Surfaces.

We started the day out with a field trip to visit Surface 1. Everyone got to witness first-hand how countertops are cut out using large robots. It was a great first stop to take all of the designers and the Surface 1 staff was very knowledgeable about the whole process and were able to explain it very well. Below is a picture of one out of two robots that they have at Surface 1 and a few of the natural stone slabs they carry.

After our fantastic trip to Surface 1, we took the designers on a surprise visit to Summer Classics! Summer Classics is a premier luxury outdoor furniture manufacturer of modern, high quality resin wicker, cast, wrought aluminum, teak and iron patio furniture. They also carry the Gabby indoor furniture line. We wanted to take the designers here to show them the beautiful showroom and to hopefully let them feel inspired. Below are a few pictures of the amazing Gabby line they have displayed in their showroom.

Once both of our stops were complete, we headed back to our showroom to begin the Cambria training. Our representative from Cambria taught the designers about the history of Cambria and the family behind the operation. There were also sample Cambria tiles for everyone to look at.

After the Cambria training, Chef Tom McEachern with Jenn-Air did a lunch demo to show the functionality of a Jenn-Air range, cooktop and refrigerator. Representatives from Jenn-Air then showed all of the designers different Jenn-Air products we have in our showroom including the coffee maker, steam oven and culinary center.
